It is so refreshing watching playoff hockey where you feel neutrally for both teams playing.
After finally getting a bit of breathing room before my last final on Wednesday, I watched the last 2 periods of the Montreal Canadiens vs Boston Bruins game.
I like both teams so it was pretty fun to watch, but later on, I got more into cheering for Boston.
It was probably their hardwork that got me all rabid by the middle of the 2nd. HAHA They came back and tied the game 3 times. They freaking deserved to win that game for that alone.
I also have a soft spot for the underdogs. :P
Anyway, I like Montreal, and I honestly thought the Bruins just outworked them in the last 2 periods (can't say anything about the first since I didn't watch) to win the game.
That was just so fun to watch. I don't know if I can watch game 7 though... u_u I have finals 2 days after that, and was planning to stay in school to study. Bleh.
Uhmm.. Goooooooooooo Bostreal Brunadiens! :DDDDDDDD!!!
I got one for my brother. >D THE BRADY CHEERLEADER THAT HE IS HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
(And if he doesn't wear it, I bought one for myself and my dad so we can wear it for him! hahahahahahahaha)
*points and laughs at her little bro*
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
That's for rubbing it my face during the Pats 16-0 win. :PPPPPPPPPPPPPP!
I know. I'm a very bitter woman.
This is not Canucks-related, but GM Place related...
I AM GOING TO THE SPICE GIRLS CONCERT ON DEC 2ND AT GM PLACE.
BOOYAH.
Have I mentioned how much I love the American Johnsons? I jumped on their bandwagon after seeing a couple of World Junior Hockey Championship games, and since my favorite type of hockey players are defensemen, it was easy to like them. Not only were they good defensively, they showed some offensive flair as well.
Anyway. Watching St. Louis Blues games against the Vancouver Canucks will be a bit more interesting now. On an interview on ESPN, Erik Johnson mentioned that his favorite team growing up was Vancouver Canucks, and how he was cheering for them to win against the Rangers in that Stanley Cup Final (yes, yes you got me. This is why I like him in the first place :P), but now he apparently doesn't cheer for anything Canadian. Shades of WJHC, U-18, U-17, etc rivalries, perhaps?
*looks hopefully at Edler and Bourdon*
In other news, the Vancouver Police Department is banning any sort of celebration or non-celebration at anytime during the playoffs. That is such BS. This is why Vancouver is known as a boring city. Your freaking city is alive and pumping in the playoffs, people just want to celebrate the Canucks' wins and people get tickets for honking. HONKING AT FREAKING 8-9 PM. Who the fuck sleeps at 8-9 PM? In Downtown Vancouver no less? It's not like they're doing it in front of a retirement home.
Give me a break.
I can understand if people gets arrested for creating mischievous acts, like vandalism or something, but just all around celebration? C'mon. You guys are just asking for more trouble.
I don't know whether to be happy or what to see Jack Johnson debut as a King on their game against the Canucks. Happy because from what I've seen or heard, he's the type of player you'd hate unless he's on your team. XD But the good thing is, he actually has a huge offensive and defensive upside. He's not only annoying, he can also score on you while schooling your ass.
Luc Bourdon..... you have big shoes to fill, but you were the one who won gold 2 times and not Jack, so.. :D
Actually, you do more than play. You shut out the Edmonton Oilers 5-0 on Thursday, believing the angel painted on the back of your mask is also watching over your sister.
"I'm pretty sure she had a lot to do with that shutout," Harding, a 22-year-old rookie from Regina, said Friday after practising with the Minnesota Wild for Sunday's game against the Vancouver Canucks. "I dedicate every game I play to her. Her initials are on the back of my helmet, so she's always with me." - Goalie playing pretty in pink
After reading that article, it makes me feel like I want Canucks to lose the game against Minnesota if Harding starts. It's just so heartwarming, sad and it makes you feel like Wild winning the game with him in net is the only way you can show your support to him.
Oh well, good luck to both teams. Looks like Backstrom starting for Wild, so GO CANUCKS GO.
Don Cherry approves!
I shall record the Slugs/Sens rematch on Saturday. >D
(First of all, I totally don't know how goalie masks are supposed to work, but :P bear with me here. Let's think of this as some.. fanfiction :D)
What if the trainer tightened the straps keeping the mask in place so when Roloson tries to shakes it off........... IT WON'T COME OFF!!!
He'll keep shaking and shaking and shaking and GOAL HORN!!!!!!! other team scores!!! And he's still shaking!!!
The announcers would be like:
"What is Roloson doing?"
"Did he somehow acquire some facial injury and needs to rid himself of his mask immediately?"
"No, it looks like.. he's just trying to shake it off!"
"Maybe it is an emergency, Jim. Seems like he's more determined than ever to remove it... HE'S EVEN TRYING TO PULL IT OUT OF HIS HEAD WITH HIS HANDS! It just won't come off!"
"Looks like the mask is there to stay... and Sami Salo scores!"
Chloe said something about Sundin scoring on Roloson as the mask came off... :P
I had better ideas. :D
As the mask came off, Salo's slapshot hits him in the forehead and in.
*runs far away from Jordi, the only fan of Roloson that remains in this world*
