Chewy has been placed on waivers!
He didn't even get a chance to prove himself. I think this is my only beef with Alain Vigneault. When Brandon Reid and Brad Moran were called up from Manitoba, he knew they were offensive players so he placed them in a line and situation where they would flourish offensively. He gave them a chance to work on the powerplay and to work on a line with Markus Naslund as he knew it would bring maximum offensive output from those 2. Even Jesse Schultz was given powerplay time when he was here because how else can they show their offense without offensive chances?
So the same can be applied to Marc Chouinard. He has put up numbers in the NHL level before, not big numbers, but still numbers that will help offensively. But since the beginning of the year, after he got back from injury, he has been placed on the 4th line and hasn't been used on the powerplay, except for that one time where Pyatt was injured and Chouinard replaced him in that unit. That time where he was put in the PP unit in Carolina, he scored his first goal of the season, and our PP that game was dynamite with him screening in front.
He also has a right handed shot and I just don't know why AV hasn't tried him on the Sedin unit yet. I'd rather Chouinard, a proven NHL scorer, on the PP than Tommi Santala.
How is he expected to produce offensively when he isn't given the same chances that are presented to our prospects when they came here? Is it really Chouinard himself that can't produce or the coach is just not using him properly?

OKAY! :D Last day of finals. Last final coming in....... 2 hours, and after that... Canucks vs Wild game. This day couldn't get better.
