I won the Canucks.com's MCDONALD'S® GOALIE STAR STICKS CONTEST for this week's "POST OF THE WEEK" in the forum.
Apparently my winning post was in this thread, but as you can see ... :P all my posts are really not worthy.

The Canucks won against the Wild tonight, OT style. That's how they roll.
:P I couldn't watch the first two periods of the game since I was just on my way home from work, but I caught the 3rd period, and man was that boring.
Actually, it'd be hard to find a game worthy of non-boringness after the awesomeness on Saturday.
Anyway, Canucks came back 2 times during the game, 1 in the 2nd period, and the next was in OT.
Tom Larscheid called Markus Naslund "Captain Clutch" after he scored the tying goal, and I just had to roll my eyes. I bet Larscheid posts in the Canucks forum and is one of those people who jump in and out of Nazzy's bandwagon depending if he scored a goal the game previous. :PPPPPPPPPPPP
Meanwhile, the other 'Captain Clutch' took a penalty at clutch time. AV, I know you think it's a dumb penalty, but please please please do not scratch Linden in favor of like.. Jeff Cowan if Taylor Pyatt returns in the lineup on Thursday.
I am not the biggest Trevor Linden fan, but I am a bigger fan of Trev than Cowan. gah.
That being said, the moment the Minnesota Wild fans started continuously booing Mattias Ohlund during the overtime period, I knew he was going to be part of the game winner. You just get that feeling, especially during crucial games like these, than players who gets booed would love nothing more than to shut up the boobirds.
Ohllie did not score the goal, but he sure played a huge role in setting it up.

Canucks fathers are so adorable. Except Bieksa's Dad..... XD This is why Bieksa PWNS so much. Even his dad reeks of awesome. Look at that? Do you wan to mess with THAT?
They probably won the game for their proud papas. :D so cute!
The Vancouver Canucks has officially announced that they will unveil their new jersey on August 28. You can pick up your (free) tickets at Ticketmaster.ca.
Anyway, I was so excited as soon as I saw the mini flash video before entering Canucks.com and immediately picked up my free tickets!!! Thank God I don't have work or school that day! Not only are they unveiling the jerseys, a bunch of Canucks players will be present during the jersey launch as well.
I just hope the people coming with me will prevent me from immediately snagging the new jerseys. *o*

Other things:
- Hot new forum system at Canucks.com. Totally loving the new features which includes quick reply, quick edit, multi-quoting. However, I do not love the (still existing) size restrictions on avatars (80 x 80) which resizes everything to 80 x 80. I don't like seeing stretched out images, all pixellized, cause they're bigger than their normal size.
- Canucks need 2 more wins to clinch the division. Make it happen, please. I'd like to know whether I can buy first round tickets or not. GO FOR THE HOME ICE ADVANTAGE, NUCKIES, otherwise, your first home game would be right around the start of my final exams and I won't be able to go watch a live game. *tear*
- Sami Salo is back in the lineup tonight! :D I'm still giddy over the 4-year contract extension.
So, I'll be writing my program while watching the Canucks game and I will try to live blog? If possible? I get too distracted to live blog... :P I need to focus on the game... so I will try. I doubt I have anything nice to say, since I usually have a potty mouth when I watch hockey games. That or I have a high pitched squeal when something remotely exciting happens.
Speaking of... I've been thinking of changing the name of this blog. :o I've been making fun of the "Hockey is a violent sport" perception for a while now in my Canucks.com signature, avatars and profile photo... Maybe I should name it something related to my "Hockey is about love, not violence" slogan. But that would make it seem like a general hockey blog, which this is not (really)... XD I will think on it.
I didn't even notice it, but this blog has been linked on Canucks.com, in the fan links section... as "Canucks Fangirl" ... DAMN YOU JJ!!! XD That's not even the name of the blog!!!! *cries* XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
Just kidding. I don't mind. Really. XD;
I guess I have to be a bit nicer now and stop dissing players on here..... (hehe... not that I ever did some dissing anyway...)
Playoff to do list:
- Buy Canucks flag for the car. I only have the old one rom 03-04
- Try to stay up all ngiht and refresh my email until the Inside Edge newsletter comes telling us when playoff tickets are available. :P For any season ticket holders who are willing to sell 2-3 tickets for a slightly higher than face value price... email me :P! :D Please :D
- Put some (retro) BLUE and GREEN highlights on my hair. Yeah, you wouldn't want to see me be a grower in the spring... hairy legs and armpits? Eww. XDDD
I already bought some black hair dye to cover up the previous highlights on my hair and bring it back to the natural hair color. After making my hair black again, I'll set the appointment with the stylist. I need to get a haircut anyway. AUGH. Playoffs are already making a dent on my wallet. XDDDD;;;
If you can get over the bushiness of the chest........... you gotta admit it's kinda cool... in a very disturbing and disgusting way.
Why can't we just have a normal website with normal game photos all the time??? Why must we post people's hairy chest? That better not be a Canuck players hairy chest......... but maybe it's Pyatt's... again... management trying some scare tactics to keep the PBs away.

Canucks Forum gets a makeover - It now matches the main website. :D I like it except for the baby blue alternate background on the posts. :3
Canucks Scavenger Hunt - Pretty easy as long as you know your way around the website. Found the answers almost immediately, and for the Josh Green question :P I didn't even have to look since I already knew. HAHAHA. You can win a Canucks jersey signed by the whole team? :O!!!
